Barry Sloane

Barry Paul Sloane (February 10, 1981 in Liverpool) is an English actor, best known for playing Ruth Gordon's abusive ex-husband, Sean Smith, in the soap opera, "Brookside".

Before joining the cast of Brookside, he was active on the Liverpool music scene, playing bass and singing for a band called Smiling Jackals, before joining Junk Culture as bassist in May 2001.He left Junk Culture in April 2002 to join Brookside.

He is now playing Niall Rafferty, a long lost son of Myra McQueen whom she gave away when she was 14, in the Channel 4 soap "Hollyoaks". Barry is currently in a relationship with Katy O'Grady, the fourth placed runner up of the most recent series of Sky One programme Project Catwalk
