Starmaker was a budget home video distributor that was founded in the 1980s. In 1987, the company Video Treasures was founded as another budget video distributor. Video Treasures and its successor company, Anchor Bay Entertainment, distributed films by this company. Anchor Bay closed Starmaker in the late 1990s, and most of Starmaker's property is now owned by Starz Home Entertainment.
