- Bentenjima (Wakkanai)
nihongo|Bentenjima|弁天島 is a small
deserted island northwest ofCape Sōya , Wakkanai,Hokkaidō ,Japan . It is the northernmost point of the territory under Japanese control. The island is 1km north from Sannai settlement. Another island called nihongo|Hirashima|平島 lies southeast to the island.Bentenjima is approximately 0.5km around, 0.005km² in area, and its highest point is 20m above sea level. Its name comes from "
