Liberty Technology Magnet High School is one of the youngest high schools in the Jackson-Madison County area. Its construction took place between 2002 and 2003. The cost for the school's construction was nearly $16 million.

The school mascot, the Crusader, is a representation of the school's goals. The torch of the crusader stands for technology and the lamp stands for academics. The mascot's colors are burgundy and silver.

Campus
Liberty's campus is located just outside of
Pringles Park , home of theDiamond Jaxx , and is surrounded by many factories.Liberty's campus is 149,000 sq.st and covers 46 acres. Its outside campus includes a football stadium, football practice field, band practice field, a soccer field, and both baseball and softball fields. The football stadium consisted of a track and can seat up to 2000 people. The auditorium seats up to 999 people, and the gymnasium has a capacity of 1588. Honors and Advance Placement System
If a student takes any of the honors courses offered, they will receive an additional 3 points on the student's for each honors class taken. Honors courses mandate that a student go above and beyond the standards of learning requirements, performance indicators given by the State Board of Education, and overall expectations.
In Advance Placement courses, or more commonly called "AP", the student will receive an additional 5 points to each AP course taken.
Academic Departments
Students are offered classes divided into eleven departments.
Fine Arts
Fine Arts Department consists of art courses, music courses, and drama or theatre.
Language Arts
The Language Arts Department consists of English, French, Speech , and Spanish courses. The Language Arts Department also has a Journalism: Yearbook course.
Mathematics
The Mathematics Department has 15 different courses offered. It ranges from Foundations 1 to Ap Calculus 2

The Social Studies department has 15 different courses. They include Bible, Honors, and AP histories.
P.E. & Wellness
The P.E. and Wellness courses are required for all students to take unless they are apart of the JROTC programs.
Technology
The Technology Department is by far the largest and has the largest range. It consists of about 48 different course. These 48 courses are divided into six main groups . These groups include Agriscience, Automotive Technology, Communications Technology, Health Science, Hospitality & Tourism, and Manufacturing Science.
Business & Computer Technology
The Business and Computer Technology Department has courses on business, accounting, programing computers, and keyboarding.

Liberty Crusader Athletics
Liberty is home to two
TSSAA class 2A state championships in both 2005-2006 (againstMitchell High School ) and 2006-2007 (againstMitchell High School (Tennessee) ) seasons. This has earned Liberty a boys' high schoolbasketball ranking of 13 in the country bySports Illustrated .Fact|date=October 2007 Former Liberty Crusader and current Murray State Racer guard Jewuan Long was named Most Valuable Player in 2006; in 2007, Long was named TSSAA class 2A "Mr. Basketball."
