Mic One (born Michael J. Malinowski in Chicago, IL) is an American rapper/MC/musician/producer/hip-hop recording artist.
Biography
Mic One grew up during the golden age of hip-hop and was raised on classic rock as well, thus the influence strongly shown during live performances in which he uses a live band and plays guitar himself. He has headlined venues throughout the midwest and has garnered fans with an eclectic showcase known to many as "Chicago's livest hip-hop show".
He was signed to indie label Liberté Music and released 2003's mildly successful album "This Is Me". The album spawned two nationally played singles, "Beer Cans" and "Mamacita". He has since appeared on numerous compilations, mixtapes and E.P.'s. After taking the year 2007 off due to personal issues, he is currently recording a new full legnth album and producing for other artists.
