Maanaanchira

Maanaanchira is a pond of fresh water situated in the centre of the city of Calicut in Kerala, South India.

The pond which was constructed during the time of erstwhile rulers in pre-independence period served as water-source and continue even now that it is preserved neat and clean and the water is used even for potable purposes in summer when there used to be water scarcity all around.
