Range

The Large Banded Awl is found in India in Assam (Cachar) and the Andaman islands eastwards to Myanmar, Thailand, Philippines, Sulawesi, New Caledonia and Australia.Evans,W.H.(1932) The Identification of Indian Butterflies, ser no I 1.14, pg 315.]

The type locality is New Caledonia.

Status

Very Rare.

Host-plants

The larva has been recorded on "Millettia megasperma" and "Wisteria sinensis".
