Gunflint lodge

Gunflint lodge

Gunflint Lodge is one of the oldest and the most well-known lodges on the Gunflint Trail in Minnesota. It is located on Gunflint Lake, on the border of Ontario, Canada, and is open year round.

Built in the 1920s by the Spunner family, the lodge was sold in the 1930s to the Kerfoot family, and has been owned by them since.

Some of the most popular activities at the lodge are fishing and hiking, and in the winter, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

The lodge was threatened by the Ham Lake Fire in spring of 2007, but avoided any damage.
