Terryl Anne Whitlatch (b. ca.
1961 inOakland, California ) is an American scientific and academically trainedillustrator , known for her creature designs forLucasfilm and her illustrations in the "Katurran Odyssey " book, among others.Whitlatch grew up in the East Bay, in the
San Francisco area. She attendedSonoma State University where she studiedzoology , and later transferred to the Academy of Art College (now University) inSan Francisco , where she graduated. While there, she did freelance work forLucasArts on the graphic adventure game "The Dig ", for which she designed several alien creatures.Whitlatch currently lives in San Francisco, where she works as a freelance concept artist. She has also joined the faculty at the
Academy of Art University , where she teaches illustration and animation classes.External links
