Lughaidh Ó Cléirigh

Lughaidh Ó Cléirigh (c. 1580 – c. 1640) was an Irish Gaelic poet and historian.

Born in County Donegal, Lughaidh was the cousin of renowned Gaelic historian Mícheál Ó Cléirigh. Lughaidh was the chief of his sept and participated in the Contention of the bards, a literary controversy of early 17th century Ireland.
