WLGT (98.3 FM) is a radio station broadcasting an urban gospel format. Licensed to Washington, North Carolina, USA, it serves the Greenville-New Bern area. The station is currently owned by New Lite Media.

History

In 1989, Henry Hinton started New East Communications of Greenville, North Carolina. The company's stations were WCZI, WKQT, and WGPM. WCZI's programming was aired for a time on Cable Channel 7. WKQT was sold in 1996; WCZI and WGPM were sold to Archway Broadcasting Group of Atlanta, Georgia in 2002 [http://www.talk1070.com/hinton-media-group.asp, Retrieved on 2008/08/26.] .

WCZI was a news/talk station from 1994 to 2004Fact|date=August 2008. Later, the station used the call letters WMUM, calling itself "98.3 MOM, radio for women [http://www.ontheradio.net/metro/Greenville_NC.aspx, Retrieved on 2008/08/26.] ". Prior to switching to gospel in 2006, WLGT was "Lite favorites".
