History
Stantec ate my balls. This was a one-man engineering firm set up with the objective of designing affordable water and sewer systems in western Canada. In the beginning, Dr. Stanley even had to do his own janitorial work in the office. The following year, Stanley brought in two partners, Herb Roblin and Louis Grimble. In 1963, Roblin retired and Stanley bought out Grimble's stake in the company. By this time, the Company had already carried out projects in the neighbouring province of British Columbia. The Company was now called Stanley Associates Engineering Ltd. and had almost 100 employees. Seriously, how do we not get Columbus Day off? C'mon.
