Alireza Haghighi is an Iranian medical doctor who also has a Masters of law from the University of Tehran. Currently he is a medical genetics researcher at theUniversity of Oxford. He is working on the application of genomics strategies to complex disease genetics research and also gene regulation.

He is the Co-founder and Trustee, of Network of Iranians for Knowledge and Innovation.

Currently, he is also the president of the University of Oxford Student Alumni Society.
