Fort Collins Lincoln Center

Fort Collins Lincoln Center

The Fort Collins Lincoln Center is the primary performing arts facility of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado. The Lincoln Center sits at 417 W. Magnolia Street in Downtown Fort Collins next door to Mulberry Pool. The building, which was constructed in the mid-1970s, is the largest of its type in Fort Collins, and likely all of Larimer County.

Facilities and Uses

Performance Hall

The Lincoln Center serves a number of functions, and boasts two indoor music and theater venues, as well as art galleries, conference and convention space, and an outdoor performance and sculpture garden. The largest and most widely recognized is the Performance Hall. The Performance Hall seats up to 1,180 patrons and is used for productions by the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra, as well as for plays and other musical performances. Notable visitors to the Performance Hall include Randy Newman, Jeff Dunham, Stomp, the Producers, Hairspray, and many more. The Performance Hall features a hydraulic orchestra pit that can be lowered for use by an orchestra or for use as a service elevator.

Mini Theater

The Mini Theater is the Lincoln Center's smaller auditorium and seats only 220 spectators. It is primarily used by local groups, children's and youth theater productions, community theater companies, and business lectures and presentations.

Terrace Gardens

This name was given to the outdoor sculpture garden, and performance venue, where in summer months, bands, dancers, and other performers put on their shows to crowds of picnickers. Weddings and wedding receptions are also common sights here.

Canyon West

The Lincoln Centers ballroom features a large hardwood dance floor, making it perfect for banquets, formal dances, and other such occasions.

Columbine

The middle sized room at the Lincoln Center is used for meetings, receptions, and potlucks.

Ludlow

The smallest of the Lincoln Center's conference spaces. Used primarily for small regular user groups, classroom settings, and other intimate events. Will no longer be available as a rental space, as it is undergoing a renovation to create the new administration office for the building.

Art Galleries

The Lincoln Center constantly displays a unique variety of art in its three galleries. It is common for audiences to view the displays before and after showings, and on occasion art pieces are made available for sale.
