't Zal wel gaan, is a student society based at
Ghent University , inFlanders ,Belgium , and is one of the oldest student societies in Belgium.Since its conception, the student fraternity was characterized by its progressive, Flemish, and liberal nature. It supports the total
separation of church and state .History
't Zal wel gaan (aka TSG 't Zal wel gaan), was created in

Nineteenth Century , the student society became notorious for itsAnti-clericalism and played an important role in theFlemish Movement 's struggle for the use of Dutch in Belgian education. However, the conflict ofWorld War I soon caused an ideological crisis within the student fraternity, and Orangist sentiment made way for ananti-authoritarian concept of emancipation.Members of "'t Zal wel gaan" later joined the resistance during the
Spanish Civil War andWorld War II . And played a role during the controversy surroundingKing Leopold III and the student revolts ofMay 1968 .The society still participates in ethical and political debates today, and celebrated its 150th birthday in
