Alex Otterlei

Alex Otterlei is a Belgian composer who specialises in music for computergames.
He was mentored by prominent composers such as Luc van Hove [http://www.muziekcentrum.be/cdb/details/person.asp?id=1359] and Hans Lamal.
His scores testify of a strongly driven epical desire, imagination and musical strength. In a conventional language his music charms the listener by its remarkable melodic quality, impressive sound construction and a perfect sense of timing.

In the nineties Alex pioneered the art of writing soundtracks for roleplaying games, resulting in popular rpg-soundtracks such as “Battlethemes”, “Arthur” and “Where Evil Lurks”.
His Cthulhu-inspired orchestral soundtrack “ [Horror on the Orient Express] ” [http://www.alexotterlei.com/index.php?item=work&portfolio=1.com ] achieved worldwide acclaim.

He is currently working with 10tacle Studios [http://www.10tacle.be] where he is scoring the music for their upcoming next-gen title “Totems” [http://www.herawakening.org] .
