Computer skills

Computer skills refer to one's ability to utilize the software (and sometimes hardware) of a computer.

They include:

Basic computer skills
* Knowing how to switch on the computer
* Being able to use a mouse to interact with elements on the screen
* Being able to use the computer keyboard
* Being able to close down the computer after use

Intermediate skills include being able to use the following
* Word processor
* e-mail
* Spreadsheets
* Databases
* Use the internet

Advanced skills include
* Programming
* Use of computer for scientific research
