"Mindhacker" is the first major release by musician Lara Baruca on Menart Records. This album is a step forward that shows a continued maturity in singing, composition and a new creative edge [Album review: Paul Flowers, WUSC-FM Columbia, SC] . When discussing this album, once she jokingly alluded to certain aspects of the album being "emo" in appearance. The album is musically quite divergent from this both stylistically and lyrically.
