Milica Lukic (born February 24, 1959) and Miroslav Perkovic (born November 1, 1951), the visual artists duo.

Education

Lukic, with interest on abstract painting, studied and postgraduated at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Belgrade, Perkovic at Faculty of Architecture with interest on symbolic forms and public sculpture continuous at school of Bogdan Bogdanović. In the 1990's, both participated at the Madrid Círculo de Bellas Artes (CBA) on a sculpture workshop directed by Richard Deacon, with his contribution in the further projects. Engaged on contemporary theoretical tendencies, both attended the seminar 'Rhétoriques de la fin du siècle' and met Jacques Derrida.

The work of the duo

Working together since 90's, the visual artists duo developed and realized a series of visual art projects, working on sculpture of technological factory, using industrial techniques and materials in sculptural projects realized by industries in situ. For two decades, the projects and works are granted and collected by Soros Foundation, SartidArt US Steel, Unión Fenosa and Bancaja Foundation. The projects are exhibited at the Círculo de Bellas Artes of Madrid, Museum of Contemporary Art of Belgrade, Faculty of Fine Arts of Valencia (conference), Handwerker Gallery of Ithaca College and Cité Internationale des Arts of Paris. The widely developed 'Cityproject' (1999-09), granted by Kodak and Ritam Association, generated work on photograph and video sessions in Paris, London and New York City, at studios Cité and Acme, and sculptural work, realized by valencian industries in situ. The project and critical essays 'Conversions' was presented at the show of Temple Roma Vic, Barcelona.
