Moreen Estate is a modern housing estate situated in
Sandyford ,Dublin , Ireland. It was described by theIrish Independent as "the best housing money can't buy", due to the fact that they arecouncil houses . There are 254 houses in the estate and is soon to be 300. It has afootball club called St Marys Boys, a shop calledTonys and a gap onto theM50 motorway called theMoreen Gap . TheMoreen Gap has developed cult status as a popular drop off point for players returning from matches withSt. Benildus College . A group of gallant players led by Dennis Kelleher, often brave the gap on their homeward journies. There have been reports and it was proved that it actually takes longer for these Sandyford based players to get home if they go this way.
