Moreen Estate

Moreen Estate is a modern housing estate situated in Sandyford, Dublin, Ireland. It was described by the Irish Independent as "the best housing money can't buy", due to the fact that they are council houses. There are 254 houses in the estate and is soon to be 300. It has a football club called St Marys Boys, a shop called Tonys and a gap onto the M50 motorway called the Moreen Gap. The Moreen Gap has developed cult status as a popular drop off point for players returning from matches with St. Benildus College. A group of gallant players led by Dennis Kelleher, often brave the gap on their homeward journies. There have been reports and it was proved that it actually takes longer for these Sandyford based players to get home if they go this way.
