The Images (band)

The Images were a band formed in 1977 by Andy Halligan and his brother Keith Halligan in Hyde, Greater Manchester and together with Clive Cooper on Guitar and Pete Newton on drums played their first gig at an event for the Queen's Silver Jubilee.

Later they went on to play many gigs and recorded at various studio including Cargo Studios, Amazon Studios plus many other producing numerous original recordings.

"Goodbye", "My Kingdom Come", "In This World" and "Fine Times" were amongst their most popular song titles.They had many drummers over the years including Paul Kearslake and Les Brady who both spent a number of years with the band.Eventually they split up in 1983, but have had a few 're-union' gigs in the years since.

Some of the most memorable events include appearing on ITV's The Fun Factory in 1980, playing at Liverpool Town Hall for the John Lennon Memorial Concert, and at some of Manchester's top venues.
