This is a Taiwanese brand named by the founder's German name. The collection of this company includes porcelain tableware, vase,and exquisite jewelry. Founded in June 2002 and headquartered in downtown San Francisco, Franz Collection Inc. designs, creates and markets a variety of functional and home decor accessories.

Items from Franz sold to worldwide departments store because of its quniteness and high quality. This company also tries to create new aesthetics and techniques to surprise the customers.

Franz Porcelain is writing a new chapter for world-renowned ceramic manufacturers. Its design and research center is based in Taipei, Taiwan, with production carefully managed and closely supervised in Mainland China. In addition to sales, marketing and distribution facilities in the United States, Franz has representative offices in Europe, Australia and New Zealand

Founder and Innovator

Francis Chen 陳立恆

Francis Chen, founder and president of Franz Collection Inc., is recognized worldwide as a successful artist and entrepreneur. Following his vision to revive the Chinese porcelain art, Chen - who majored in German Literature while attending university

Franz's design studio and operation headquarters are located in Taiwan, helping the country establish a reputation as a producer of fine porcelain. Chen has managed to maintain his competitive edge by focusing on creating unique and functional home accessories and gifts. This marketing strategy has been strongly supported by the Taiwan government, as it has brought recognition to the country and has helped support the creative industries that the government has been promoting.

Artistry and Technique

Inspired by the love for nature, Franz Porcelain developed delicate butterflies, fragile flowers, whimsical animals, and other motifs that successfully and uniquely combine traditional Chinese character with classic Art Nouveau designs. Every piece of Franz Porcelain blends the essence of Oriental culture with the styling inspired by Western artistry. The collection not only combines eastern culture but also western culture to create more various styles.

Franz's talented staff of artisans has experimented with the many ways to glaze, decorate and fire ceramics for decades. Today, they employ traditional underglazing techniques as well as colored glazing, crystalline glazing and overglazing to produce unique and elegant products. Using the underglazing technique, the finest Chinese clay is painted with a subtle Oriental color palette, coated with a layer of transparent glaze, and put into a kiln for firing at a temperature of about 1,000 Celsius degrees. The end results are aesthetically pleasing, and create a distinctively stylish décor collection.

"Ute Patel-Missfeldt"-is known for revolutionizing the art of silk painting. As a distinguished tutor of fine arts in Germany and an internationally experienced lecturer and designer, Ute Patel-Missfeldt has, for years, taught aspiring artists and students the art of painting on silk, a talent she has continuously exhibited through her elegant art works. She is well known for the use of diverse colors and forms, and her incredibly detailed brushwork has gained her worldwide recognition.

"G. G. Santiago"-Artist and designer G.G. Santiago is widely recognized in the world of fine gifts and collectibles for the unique quality of her work and stunning artistic talent. For more than 20 years, G.G. Santiago has been producing and designing many lines of collectible gifts, and has continuously been recognized in the gift and collectibles industry for her whimsical and highly detailed pieces.
