Tasmania , Sir Edward Braddon, Braddon moved toInvercargill in 1882 on transfer with theBank of Australasia . He was selected for the firstNew Zealand international team, and played in 7 of the 8 games inAustralia in 1884. Braddon later played forNew South Wales .He later had a commercial and political career in Australia, working for Dalgetys and representing Australia in the United States. He was knighted in 1920.
