Rick Miller (speedway rider)

Richard Leonard (Rick) Miller (born 12 January 1961, Reseda, California) [Oakes, P & Rising, P (1986). "1986 Speedway Yearbook". ISBN 0-9488-8200-X] is a former American international motorcycle speedway rider. Rick won two national BMX titles as a Webco sponsored rider in his early teens. Rick then rode motocross in the southern California area before switching to Speedway. Rick started his speedway career in 81 became pro the next year and won rookie of the year. Speedway credits for 82 include Ventura track championship, and US Open National Champion in Owego, NY. He was a member of the USA speedway team when they won the 1990 World Team Cup. Rick retired from speedway at the end of the 92 season and started a new career as a stuntman. You can find some information about his film work at IMDB [www.imdb.com/name/nm0589203]

He rode in the UK for the Coventry Bees. Ten years for the Bee's, honored with a testimonial in 1992. Rick's Coventry Bee's won two league titles with the Bee's going undefeated in the 87 season, a feat never done before or since. Rick also Rode for the Ornarna Eagles in Mariestad Sweden and helped them in winning two national championships.
