The Weekly News [ [http://www.mediauk.com/newspapers/21148/the-weekly-news Magazine details] ] is a topical but uncontroversial magazine [It looks more like a tabloid newspaper, than a magazine, but is neither salacious nor sensationalist.] published every Saturday by the Dundee newspaper chain DC Thomson [ [http://www.dcthomson.co.uk/feedback/ad_weekly_news.asp Owner's perspective] ] . It has been in production since 1855 and features a weekly column from Uri Geller [A role previously filled by Bryan Mosley, Alf Roberts in Coronation Street] , showbusiness news, human interest features, short stories, sport and horoscopes. It has an ageing demographic, and rarely features in such programmes as What the Papers Say. It features comic strips, some of which are from The Beano or The Dandy (Dennis the Menace used to appear for example, some of these were reprinted in the book "Dennis the Menace 50 Years of Menacing, 1951-2001").
