Suameer (officially in Friesian: "Sumar ") is a village in the municipality of Tietjerksteradeel, in the province Friesland (The Netherlands). It lies south of Bergum, on the Provinciale weg 356, and has approximately 1320 inhabitants (2006).

Notable inhabitants

* Bintje Jansma, after which the potato-cultivar "bintje" is named.
