"Just Say Maybe" is the 121st episode and debuted in the 6th season of the ABC television series "Step by Step".

Plot

The episode starts off with Al asking Carol for permission to go to RockFest '97, a 50-Band concert on an abandoned, pig-farm; and in the process solves Carol's computer problem in a matter of seconds. Showing the lack of knowledge for computers towards baby-boomers and the knowledge younger generartions have for technology.

Carol gets a surprise visit from her old, friend from high school, Patti Roberts. Patti is now married to Dave Roberts, who spends a lot of time and interest into his work as a State Trooper. Patti eventually meets Jean-Luc, who wins her affection with ease. Carol tells the kids that she doesn't want the kids making the same mistake she did with Patti, at Woodstock '67, and smoke marijuana.

Frank eventually talks to everyone, and J.T., Rich, Dana, Karen, and Al, all go to RockFestival '97.

When they get there J.T. and Rich decide to sneak backstage by pretending to be roadies.

Al meets up with Will Peters and he offers all three of the girls to smoke a joint. Karen and Dana oppose to the idea of smoking marijuana, as Al goes off to Will's Uncle Marvin's van to smoke a joint.

Jean-Luc gets into another confrontation with Patti over infidelity. He finds out that she has lost interest in her mariage because he lost interest in her.

Jean-Luc tells her that her husband isn't a mind reader and that she needs to express her concerns. she complies and Jean-Luc gets Dave to talk to her.

Al and Will meet up with his uncle at his van. He introduces himself as Buzz and pulls a few bonehead moves, which persuades Al not to try Marijuana.

She returns to Karen and the untrusting, Dana, who shines a flashlight into her eyes to see if she is high.

During the credits a burglar is roaming around the house at night; stealing the two candle holders on the mantle and the stereo on the middle-shelve on the right side of the living room set.

All of a sudden the front door busts open with smoke/fog all around and a police officer at the door. The officer is Frank and he runs in chasing the crook and then after a tussle, throws the burglar onto the couch.

He pulls of the burglars mask to reveal Carol. Role-playing yet again.

She did it twice and Frank wanted her to do it once more as the scene ended.
