1988"Back" is the name of a studio album by legendary Country music singer,
Lynn Anderson , released in 1983.This album was Anderson's first album in three years (she hadn't recorded since 1980). Anderson had since been in brief retirement to start a family with her second husband (no ex-husband) Harold "Spook Stream", and raise her other children. Because of this, Anderson left her old record company (Columbia) in 1980. In 1983, Anderson decided to record again, and release another album, which would be her comeback album. This album was appropriatley titled "Back", being it was her comeback album. The album was not very successful, but it did bring Lynn Anderson fully back into the Country market, along with a few big Country hits to go along with it.
Three singles were released from this album, all from 1983. The first one, "You Can't Lose What You Never Had" just missed the Country Top 40 at No. 42, and was modestly successful. The next single, "What I've Learned From Loving You", peaked within the Top 40, and even within the Country Top 20, at No. 18 on the Billboard charts. The song brought Anderson back as a solo artist. The third and final single, "You're Welcome to Tonight", a duet with 80s Country star
Gary Morris was the album's most successful single. The single reached Country's top 10 in early 1984, at No. 9. This was probably thanks in part to Morris dueting with Anderson, being he was highly-successful at the time. The album only reached No. 61 on the "Top Country Albums" chart in 1983.Track listing
