Esperanza Elementary School is a school located in Palmdale, CA. Esperanza is part of the Westside Union School District. The school first opened in the 2003-2004 school year. The school's mascot is the Golden Eagles, as voted by the 2003-2004 school year students.The first principal of this school was Paul Brunner, who retired at the end of the 05-06 school year. Sherry McPhearson too over after that and brought the worst vice-principal ever, Kristen Frye.

In the main building, there is a wall of tiles, ranging from handprints to pictures. These were created by the first year of students at this school.

This school is located in a relatively new neighborhood, comparative of Rancho Vista Elementary. This school is located just off of Bolz Ranch Road, and has stayed in good condition, with barely any problems around the school. The school was also closest to a hostage crisis during the 05-06 school year, in late fall.

Student Council Presidents

*The first president of Esperanza Elementary was Richard Ruelas. He was voted in for the second half of the 2003-2004 school year.

*The second president of this school was Kyle Mears, who won with a landslide victory. He was in for the 2004-2005 school year.

*Kyle Mears was also the president during the 05-06 school year, due to the 6th grade being moved down to Elementary level. This gave him another chance at President, and he won.

*The president for the 06-07 school year was Logan Merz

*The president for the 2007-2008 year was Tanya Alam, who barely beat Jordan Dixon-Hamilton, for student council president

Celebrity Students

*India Eisley attended Esperanza as a fifth grader in Mrs. LaRosa's class of the 2003-2004 school year. She is currently cast in the TV show "The Secret Lfe of the American Teenager". She is currently 14 years old.
