Bascharage communal council

Bascharage communal council ( _fr. Conseil communal de Bascharage) is the local council for the commune of Bascharage, in south-western Luxembourg.

It consists of thirteen members, elected every six years by proportional representation.fr icon cite web |url=http://www.bascharage.lu/conseil/conseil.htm |title=Conseil Communal |accessdate=2007-09-24 |date= |publisher=Commune of Bascharage ] The last elections were held on 9 October 2005, and resulted in a draw between the Christian Social People's Party (CSV) and the Luxembourg Socialist Workers' Party (LSAP). In the "collège échevinal", the CSV forms a coalition with The Greens' sole member, under the leadership of CSV mayor Jeannot Halsdorf.
