Eshtemoa

Eshtemoa - obedience - is a name in the Bible.

1. A son of Ishbah or maybe a town inhabited by Ishbah's descendants. (1. Ch. 4:17)

2. A descendent of Bithiah(the princess of Egypt)and Mered(1. Ch. 4:18).

3. A town in the mountains of Judah, which was allotted, with the land round it, to the priests. (Jos 15:50) It is identified with As-Samu, a village about 3 1/2 miles east of Socoh, and about 9 miles south of Hebron, around which there are ancient remains of the ruined city. It was one of the places frequented by David as a fugitive. (1 Sa 30: 26-28)
