Runaway Rapids Waterpark

Runaway Rapids Waterpark is a 157,000 sq. foot waterpark located in Keansburg, New Jersey. The park is owned and operated by brothers and amusement entrepreneurs extraordinaire William and Henry Gehlhaus. The water park includes a 10,000 sq. foot Kiddie Area (complete with a large tipping bucket), a large lazy river, thrill slides, a rope swing, moderate slides, and even toddler slides.The waterpark is located across the street from Keansburg Amusement Park, also owned by the Gehlhaus brothers. The amusement park celebrated it's 103rd anniversary in the Summer of 2007.Ellis trained lifeguards receive certification prior to every season and monitor all water areas throughout the park.The waterpark was a well-hidden secret that only the locals knew about until recently, when travelers in the Jersey Shore area started coming there for day trips.
