Thornlow

Thornlow Preparatory School is a small, independent private school located in Weymouth, Dorset, England. It opened as a girls' school in Bridport in 1885, relocating to Connaught Road in Weymouth in 1912, whence it was known as "Thorneloe School, Rodwell".The school became a casualty of the war in 1940, but reopened later as a boys' school.Acquired by William and Alice Crocker, the school was extended in 1955 with the acquisition of the Senior School (Sandesfort House). The Senior School closed in 1998, but the Connaught Road building was transformed into the current Thornlow Preparatory School by new owners in 1996.
