John Outerbridge

John Outerbridge is an African American artist and community activist living in Los Angeles, California.

He was the first director of the Watts Towers Art Center, and served in that role for seventeen years. His sculpture work has been reviewed in the "New York Times" [ [http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9901EED6143DF932A05752C0A961958260 Mention in New York TImes art review] ] , and his work is owned by prominent museums.
