- Rejean Cournoyer
Rejean Cournoyer is a Canadian actor and singer, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on December 5th 1971. After graduating from
Mount Saint Vincent University with a degree in public relations, he began working at theCharlottetown Festival in their Young Company, then made his way to Toronto in 1995 to pursue his acting career. He had a recurring role in the short-lived situation comedy " [Rideau Hall (serial)| [Rideau Hall] " in 2001, was awarded anACTRA Award for his role inThom Fitzgerald 's feature film "The Event" in 2003 and was nominated for aDora Mavor Moore Award in Toronto in 2004 for originating the role of Joseph Beausoleil in the musical epic "Pélagie". Comfortable in comedy, drama, and musical theatre, Cournoyer has appeared across Canada in leading roles in many of the country's regional and national theatres. He is especially well known to audiences at Halifax's Neptune Theatre where he has appeared in productions of "Grease", "Tuesdays with Morrie ", "A Few Good Men ", "Oliver! ", and "Beauty and the Beast". In 2007, he recorded and released a bilingual compilation of soft jazz standards and French art songs, entitled "The Very Thought of You".
