website_name =Arrow Vale High School is a 13-18 co-educational comprehensive school located in
Redditch ,Worcestershire ,England . It currently has around 700 pupils on roll with 120 in the 6th form. It now has specialistSports College status.The school is equipped with 12 IT rooms, each with 30 desktop computers. After undergoing major construction to the site, the school now has dedicated areas for specialist subjects such as hairdressing, and construction. A small cafe called the Olympus Cafe is in operation for staff and students from 9-3 every day.
In June 2008, Arrow Vale was inspected by OfSTED and given a much improved Ofsted report. Results have improved dramatically over the last few years and it is currently the most improved school in the county. In terms of value added it is the second highest performing school in Redditch.
In September 2008, Headteacher Peter Woodman announced his decision to move onto The Weald School in West Sussex in January 2009.
Arrow Vale students generally come from Ipsley Middle School and Church Hill Middle School.
Notable Alumni
*Jimmy Davis, footballer, was a pupil at the school from 1994 until 1999. He began his career with Manchester United, playing his only first-team game for them in November 2001, and had just been loaned to Watford when he died in a car crash in August 2003.
