Maria Adan (Paris, august 3th 1968)
is an activist/political commentator and writes under various names at home and abroad on issues such as
women’s rights , child-prostitution, the bio-industry andpollution . She was born in France on October 3, 1968, daughter of a Czech playwright/commentator and a Dutch freelance photographer/journalist. She never knew her father since he was separated from her mother by the Soviet invasion in reaction to thePrague Spring on August 20, 1968, and thereafter died under suspicious circumstances in an accident in 1976. In August 1985, after the attack by the French Secret ServiceDGSE on the "Rainbow Warrior", whereby the 35 year-old freelance photographerFernando Pereira was killed, mother and daughter moved to Spain. In 1987 Maria started her studies in psychology. In 1991 after the fall ofMikhail Gorbachev she left for Russia to observe the process of democratization at first hand. There she married in 1995 a Russian geologist, and in 2003 after the breakdown of the marriage she moved back to Western Europe. She is currently living and working in Spain.
