The newspaper started its publication in July 2007. After a first journal and a necessary period of adaptation using for instance a franchise system [http://www.lesafriques.com/media/pdf/communique_de_presse.pdf] , the journal "Les Afriques" could launch an edition for

In order to balance the views of the "old continent", the journalist are based in Africa (namely
Morocco ,Senegal andAlgeria ) and are highly respected in the African financial community.Journalists

A first trial journal was first published in June 2007 and in September 2007, "Les Afriques" became a weekly paper.
