- Sandwell Engineering
Sandwell Engineering is a Canadian company, headquartered in Vancouver, BC. The company provides engineering and management services to industrial sectors involved in bulk handling, marine, offshore and ports, industrial process, power, petroleum, and infrastructure.
The company dates back to the 1900's starting with two Vancouver based engineering firms: Sandwell and Swan Wooster. The two firms operated in separate industries, one providing services in ports, marine, and bridges, while the other focused on pulp and paper. Separately, Sandwell and Swan Wooster were part of a legacy that built much of the industry and infrastructure that today supports the province's economy. In 1986, Sandwell and Swan Wooster merged and in 1989 Sandwell Swan Wooster was privatized.
Today, Sandwell boasts nearly 700 employees, derives the majority of its income from international projects, and has offices in North America, South America, Australia, and Asia.
