The Hunza-Naga Campaign was fought by troops of the British Raj against rebellious tribesmen in the Hunza and Nagar areas of Gilgit (now part of the Northern Areas of Pakistan).

Cause

Towards the end of the 19th century just as imperial troops began consolidating territory in tribal areas - these tribes began to acquire rifles and ammunition [ [http://www.king-emperor.com/article5-armstrade.htm The Arms trade on North West Frontier of India 1890-1914] ] .
