Jill Scott (born
February 2 1987 ) is an English female footballer. She is a centralmidfielder , currently playing for Everton and England Women. Jill used to play forSunderland WFC .Although Jill started the 2007 World Cup on the bench, coming on as a substitute in England's opening match against Japan, she would go on to start the remainder of England's matches in the tournament. She also scored her first international goal in the 6-1 demolition of Argentina in the group stage.
At the end of the 2007/08 season she picked up the Tesco Players' Player of the Year award. Also nominated were Arsenal's Alex Scott and
Karen Carney .Early LifeJill grew up in
Sunderland, UK and attended Monkwearmouth Comprehensive school. A keen long distance runner, Jill ran for Sunderland Harriers whilst playing football for Boldon Girls. At age 13 Jill needed to make the decision to whether or not to drop football for running or visa versa. Jill Chose Football. After Graduating Comprehensive school in 2003, Jill moved to Gateshead College and studied Btec National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science, She also played for the College Football Team along side fellow Sunderland and International Team mateCarly Telford . After Completeing her diploma, Jill and Carly moved to Loughbrough University to study sport.External links
