Lecques is a commune and medieval village in the Gard department in southern France.

It is built on rising ground, on the west bank of the River Vidourle, 6km to the north and upstream of Sommières. The village centre is on a rocky outcrop, that overhangs the banks of the river. Its elevation means it is protected from the 'Vidourlades' or violent floods, for example, that of the 9th September 2002. The name 'Lecques' comes from a celtic word 'leucas' meaning settlement by a marker post on a ancient track.

The commune has a picnic spot, and a beach where swimming is possible in the Vidourle.
