Illusion BBS

Illusion BBS is a bulletin board system (BBS) software package developed in 1988 by David Levin for use under PC-DOS. It was an amalgamation of code from PCBoard, Forum, WWIV and other BBS hacks. Unlike many BBS hacks containing back door code meant for intrusion by the authors. Illusion was designed to be free of back door code. A secure version BBS software having the pretty features available in many of the other BBS packages. Because many feature where base on code taken from other BBS system there was no valid copyright or licensing. This led to others modifying and rerelease the BBS software under the name ViSiON, and then ViSiON-X.
