Critical Meat is the first release proper from Derby/Nottingham instrumental math-rock band You Slut!

The album was released in Japan on February 6th on Xtal Records and received a full UK release on Neil Cooper of Therapy? and Phil Rhodes of Stressed Records collaborative label Stressed Sumo Records on March 10th 2008.

The UK album release was accompanied by a short tour of the UK, including a session at Maida Vale studios for Huw Stephens In new music we trust BBC Radio 1 show which was aired on March 11th 2008.

The band also recorded an Acoustic Session at Kerrang Radio in Birmingham. The products of which, as of August 2008, can be heard on the band's myspace page

Work on a follow up album, working title Led Zeppelin 4 is currently underway, with a scheduled completion date of mid-winter 2008/09

Two singles have been taken from Critical Meat.

On the Count of 13 was released as one side of a seven inch vinyl partnering Monster Killed by Laser's 'Jasier', while MyBloodyJesusExplorerOnFire was a download only single released on February 25th 2008.
