Guildford Spectrum is a leisure complex in Guildford, Surrey, England. Owned by Guildford Borough Council, it was built in January 1993 at a cost of 28 million pounds. It is the home of Guildford International Volleyball Club, ice hockey team the Guildford Flames, basketball team the Guildford Heat and the [http://www.ussu.co.uk/waterpolo Surrey University Swimming and Water Polo Club] . In addition to its large indoor sports arena it has an ice rink, a swimming pool and a bowling alley.

There is also a sports stadium adjoining the complex which is home to Guildford City F.C. who play in the Combined Counties Football League. The stadium has 135 seats under cover as well as having a standing capacity of around one thousand.

Facilities

Although swimming, skating and bowling are the three activities most promoted to the public, the complex also features:
*An indoor sports arena seating fifteen hundred spectators
*Olympic ice rink with a capacity of over 2000.
*An outdoor athletics track seating four hundred spectators
*Health and fitness suites
*Squash courts
*Multi-purpose sports halls
*American pool tables
*A variety of restaurants
*A children's play area and a lasertag game called Ice Station Zero

Pools

There are four pools in the facility:
*teaching pool
*competition pool
*free-form beach-style "fun pool" with depths ranging from zero (beach entrance/exit) to 1.5 metres. This pool includes flumes, tyre ride, bubble beds, sprays and a wave machine, and three lane slide for racing
*deep pool with springboard and platform
