Alabama had 10 representatives in Congress from 1913-1933. During the 63rd and 64th Congresses (1913-1917) Alabama's 10th Representative was elected at-large. During this period Democrat John Abercrombie was Alabama's at-large representative. Beginning with the 65th Congress the at-large district was abolished and Democrat William B. Bankhead represented Alabama's 10th until it was eliminated. After the 10th was eliminated Rep. Bankhead continued to represent Alabama in Congress from the 7th district.
