The International Wushu Federation (IWUF) (zh-c|c=国际武术联合会) is an organization established on 3 October 1990 to promote competitive wushu. Since 1991, the IWUF has held eight World Wushu Championships, and has also helped the around 100 federations under the IWUF ( [http://www.iwuf.org/organization/member.asp List of member federations "External"] ) all around the world to hold their own championships (e.g. the European Championships are held by the European Wushu Federation). Currently, the IWUF has 106 member countries [ [http://www.iwuf.org/Meetings/8thCongress/minutes.htm 8th IWUF Congress Minutes] ] .
