The Velvet Trench vibes are a Canadian Hip-Hop group from Montreal, Quebec. The group has achieved local success since the release of their critically acclaimed album Opium lounge in 2006 and moderate success nationwide following the Sex, Drugs and Rocketships tour. They have yet to pierce the American market.

History

Aspen and Hollywood formed the group while they were still in High School. They decided to combine efforts while both dominating the local battle scene.

In 2003, they were voted by the Montreal Mirror one of the best Hip-Hop acts in Montreal.

As the Vibes evolved musically, they decided to add a live instrument. This change led to Aeroswift joining the band as a guitarist in 2005.
