Alfred C. Aman, Jr. is a well-known professor of law, author and the Dean of
Suffolk University Law School inBoston ,Massachusetts .Aman graduated from the
University of Rochester in 1967 and theUniversity of Chicago in 1970, where he was executive editor of University of Chicago Law Review. Aman then served as a clerkElbert P. Tuttle , on theU.S. Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit from 1970-72. After completing his clerkship, Aman became an associate attorney atSutherland Asbill & Brennan , inAtlanta andWashington, D.C. , from 1972-77. In 1977 he became a faculty member atCornell Law School , working there until 1991.Aman served as a Distinguished Fulbright Chair in
Trento, Italy , and held visiting professorships inEngland ,France , andItaly . He is the author of four books and numerous articles on administrative, regulatory, and deregulatory law, especially as it relates to the global economy, and served as a faculty editor of the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies. From 1991 to 2002, Aman was dean of theIndiana University School of Law - Bloomington .
