lupin e known by the common names hollowleaf annual lupine, arroyo lupine, and succulent lupine. It is a bushylegume which sends up tallinflorescence s of fragrant, bright purple flowers. It bears stiff green pea pods which contain yellow beans. The leaves are arranged in a palmate pattern. This species is found in California and Arizona, and into Baja California. It is commonly seeded on roadsides in California by Caltrans.External links
